Online Learning
100-Percent Online courses are those in which 100-percent of instructional activity takes place when the student(s) and instructor(s) are in separate physical locations, and Hybrid courses are those in which more than 50 percent but less than 100 percent of instructional activity takes place when the student(s) and instructors(s) are in separate physical locations These give students flexibility in creating their course schedule. The objectives and content of online learning courses are the same as those offered in a traditional classroom setting. Students must have effective time management skills and be able to allocate sufficient time to complete the required coursework. In the course schedule, an online course section is identified with a “V” and HB for Hybrid/Blended courses.
For faculty who may be interested in teaching an online course that is already developed, the faculty member must participate in the Educational Technologies Online Learning trainings to be certified to teach online.
