Class Schedules and Faculty Assignments

It is the department chair's responsibility to suggest class schedules and faculty assignments to the Divisional Deans during development. The Divisional Deans will recommend for approval class schedules and faculty assignments to the Vice President of Instruction based on the current needs of the institution.

For class sections offered and made, full-time faculty are staffed first and utilized to teach the most students possible. Each discipline is expected to make 80% of the classes scheduled with an 80% fill rate. Thus, depending on the class sections that make, the instructor of record may be changed as late as the day that the class begins.
