Centers for Academic Excellence

The Centers for Academic Excellence (CAE) facilitate academic success by offering student-centered tutoring from caring and supportive peer tutors. Our face-to-face tutors are located in North Hall first floor, and ITECC Room F-6A. Tutors are trained and certified according to the College Reading and Learning Association’s (CRLA’s) International Tutor Training Program, ensuring excellent service for our students. Online tutoring is also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through the Brainfuse online tutoring platform. Face-to-face and online tutors assist students with a variety of classes, including composition, college algebra, anatomy and physiology, government, and psychology, to name a few. Tutors can also help students develop good study skills, so they may have the tools and strategies necessary to be independent learners. In addition to tutoring, the CAE offers computer use, calculators, audio and video recording studios, school supplies, charging stations, study rooms, and printing services.
