This course is an introduction to general principles of growth and development, primary health care needs of the patient across the life span and therapeutic intervention. Prerequisite: Admission into the Licensed Vocational Nursing Program. Lec 4, Lab 4, Cr 5
Outcomes
- Describe the psychosocial, growth and development, and physiological needs of patients across the life span.
- Identify primary health care needs of the patient.
- Identify the basic interventions to support the patient and family during life stages including death and dying.
