CSIS-3352 Artificial Intelligence
The course will introduce the principles, techniques, and applications of AI. Students will be exposed to knowledge representation, problem-solving, logic, inference, search algorithms, game theory, neural networks, planning, learning, agent design, expert systems, and fuzzy logic. Students will learn programming to develop appropriate AI tools and algorithms for cybersecurity problems. Lec 3, Cr 3
Prerequisite
Completion of 80 semester credit hours towards the BATOM program
Outcomes
- Explain fundamental artificial intelligence concepts, including knowledge representation, logic, inference, search, planning, machine learning, neural networks, expert systems, fuzzy logic, and intelligent agents.
- Apply appropriate search algorithms, reasoning methods, and problem-solving techniques to solve computational problems.
- Design and implement artificial intelligence algorithms using an appropriate programming language, framework, or development environment.
- Compare artificial intelligence techniques and evaluate their suitability, limitations, efficiency, and performance for different applications.
- Develop and test artificial intelligence tools or models that address cybersecurity challenges, such as threat detection, anomaly detection, intrusion detection, vulnerability analysis, or automated response.
- Evaluate artificial intelligence systems using appropriate performance measures and interpret the results to improve system accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness.
- Analyze the ethical, legal, privacy, security, and societal implications associated with the development and use of artificial intelligence systems.
- Document and communicate the design, implementation, testing, and results of an artificial intelligence solution using appropriate technical terminology.
