ARCH-2302 Architectural Freehand Drawing II
This course covers representational drawing using various media with an emphasis on principles of light, shade, scale, proposition, line, and tonal quality. This course instructs students in architectural drafting techniques and applications with emphasis in shades, shadows and perspective drawing. Prerequisites: ARCH-2301. Lec 2, Lab 4, Cr 3
Outcomes
- Use freehand drawing skills as a design tool.
- Communicate visually through freehand drawings to explore ideas in site plans, elevations, sections, perspective views, and other architectural graphic conventions.
- Apply key strengths of freehand media and skills in design thinking.
- Use a range of drawing techniques best suited to architectural practice, both as exploratory design tools and for presentations.
